The Skylark Federation – Individual Needs Assistant (SEN Focus)
Location: Iford & Kingston CE Primary School
Are you looking to make a profound difference in a child’s life within a supportive, community-focused school?
The Skylark Federation are looking for an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join our welcoming and friendly school at Iford and Kingston.
We are a popular group of schools with a truly inclusive ethos, and we would love to welcome a hardworking new member to our team.
About the Role
This vital role will primarily involve working 1-to-1 with one child in year 3, supporting them with their learning and emotional development within a mainstream classroom setting.
As an INA, you will act as a key adult for this pupil. Because the role requires a deeply understanding approach, you will actively implement support strategies and adopt a therapeutic approach to learning. Rather than simply managing behaviour, you will look at the communication behind it and help the child co-regulate, build self-esteem, and feel safe to learn.
All training and guidance can be provided for the successful candidate.
The hours of work are 12:45pm until 3.15pm, term time only.
Visits are warmly welcomed - please contact our business manager, Mrs Hill to arrange a visit, receive the job description or to ask any queries, on ahill@skylarkfed.education.
Closing date: Monday 19th October at 9am.
Interview date: Thursday 22nd October
