Ofsted report from the inspection which took place May 2013
Welcome to Plumpton Primary School
As ever we have been very busy at Plumpton School. Our book topic this term was very successful, with us all dressing up on World Book Day. There was a whole range of book characters with us that day, and once again I was very impressed by the imagination and effort that went into the costumes. Maple class led a class assembly which was very well received and the children did themselves proud!
We also raised money for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day. We asked our school council to decide which charities they wanted to support, and how we would support them, and they decided that we would all wear red for Red Nose Day. This was a successful day, and a healthy sum of money was raised for the charity.
The children are now using our new quiet area on the playground, and many thanks go to Plumpton College for donating a lot of the plants that will undoubtedly brighten it all up and make it a lovely haven for the children, especially in the warm summer months if and when we actually get any!
We have also been very proud to host an open morning in March, during which parents and visitors came in to see the school in action. Visitors looked in on a variety of lessons, and were able to see the many and varied displays around the school. We will be having our next open afternoon next term on Thursday 2nd May, between 1pm and 3pm, so that visitors can see what usually happens during the afternoon at Plumpton School. If you would like to come along and see what we get up to, you would be most welcome to attend.

Ice Cream Sales
The PPTFA are selling ice creams on Friday afternoons at 3pm starting Friday 24 May.
Summer BBQ
Provisional date: Friday 19 July 5-7pm. HOWEVER, there are currently only 3 PPTFA committee members available to organise the summer BBQ, so it can ONLY go ahead if you volunteer to help.
